A classy intimate jazz club and restaurant featuring mostly local musicians. The cover charge is reasonable and you will be seated at dining tables or at the bar. Typically there’s live music from Tuesday to Sunday and the musicians play two or three sets per night.
Situated on the second floor over a grocery store, this venue offers live music a few nights a week, usually featuring touring acts. The room has been rejuvenated in recent years and provides a good concert experience. It has a capacity of 300 seated or 600 standing.
Located in the Centro Social Español, La Sala Rossa operates under the guidance of Mauro Pezzente, a founding member of Godspeed You! Black Emperor. On average, there is live music three nights per week with a mix of local and touring acts. The capacity of the room is around 250 and limited seating is usually available.
Founded and managed by Lamine Touré, Club Balattou offers live music several nights per week from both local and touring acts. You will hear music from the Caribbeans, Africa and South America in this club with a capacity of 150. Expect a busy dance floor.
There’s live music most nights at L’escogriffe and, more often than not, it will be garage rock, punk and country music from local bands. The capacity of this lively club is around 120.
This small club and restaurant is dedicated to jazz music and to local musicians. You will be seated at dining tables around the stage or at the bar facing the stage. There’s live music almost every night and the cover charge is reasonable.
This beautiful concert hall is found in a restored and converted former church and is part of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. There usually are a few concerts presented every week (except during the summer) and the programming is focused, although not exclusively, on classical music, with a mix of local and touring musicians. The capacity of the hall is 460 and there are fixed seats at both the orchestra and balcony levels.
This charming neighborhood bar features live music by local emerging artists every night and you will hear a wide range of musical styles. The capacity of this room is about 100 people and there are tables in front of the stage.
